On Friday I witnessed the traditional Chevy Egon 500 race with lots of oldtimers and youngtimers. After a nice battle between the first two competitors the race was won by Daniel Schrey in the very nice yellow Porsche 911 RSR. Second place was for the yellow/blue Porsche 911 RSR. After this race the final practice for the 24 hour race started. Unfortunately one of the first cars going on the track crashed in the first lap at Quiddelbacher Höhe. But after that the people along the track could see some fast driving of the cars fighting for a front place on the starting grid. In the end it was the yellow/green Manthey Porsche 997 RSR which got pole position, in front of the well known Red Zakspeed Viper.
