24 Hours of Nürburgring, 7-8 May 2005

Another 24 hours with a lot of different weather conditions. The race started in heavy rain, then it dried up and at night it was almost freezing. The next morning snow fell, which was followed by sun and rain showers...
Although my favourite, the Alzen Porsche, already started from pole with problems, I think that the Manthey Porsche was the biggest 'loser' of them all. Being fast all the race and leading for about 15 hours, the engine broke at 6.00 in the morning and they ended in 9th place. The victory and second place went to the two factory BMW M3 GTR's, followed by a very respective third place of the Zakspeed Viper.
Great respect to all the drivers and teams who were there! We sure enjoyed it again.
