Hi, my name is Guido and I visit the Nordschleife on a regular basis since 2000. The first laps I made was with my old BMW 316 from 1986. If I remember right I did spend about 15 laps with that car on the Ring. Already after the first lap I got addicted to the Nordschleife and although the BMW had only 90 horsepowers it gave me a lot of fun on the Ring.

If you know this track you know also that power is not everything. With a good chassis you can beat a lot much more powerful cars. Because my BMW was at the end of its life I bought in november 2000 an Alfa 75 2.0 Twin Spark from 1990. It was a pretty easy choice as I wanted an affordable rear wheel driven car for more fun. Only two cars came in question, namely a BMW 325i (E30) or an Alfa 75. As a friend of mine (Ron) was driving Alfa already he was able to convince to look for the italian car. So I bought one and slightly adapted it for the Ring to make it faster and safer.

Because I was living in Vienna till recently I was not able to drive more than about 185 laps on the Ring till the date I moved back to Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Fortunately I did move per 1/3/2002 to Eindhoven and that made it much easier to visit the Ring more regular. So here you can find the images my brother made during our visits. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
